The Smith County MGs picked up the following awards at the Texas State Master Gardener Conference on May 4, 2012.

  • 1st place – Education – (Secret Garden); Project (home tour); Mass media (1st Tuesday publicity); graphics (IDEA Garden PowerPoint).
  • 2nd place – Publication (HT Guide book), Newsletter (Grapevine); Individual (Pat Welch)
  • 3rd place – Website
